Kassidy Lynae

Eight years ago, I became a mother to a daughter. After having two boys, I really didn't believe it when the dr said "It's a girl!" Kassidy Lynae was born on 5-6-2000 at 8:40 pm, weighing in at 8 lbs 1 oz. The biggest of all my babies and I was "showing" the least with her! I only gained 25 lbs when I was pregnant with her and I really expected her to weigh alot less. But since she had two older brothers, ages 4 and 21 months, I didn't have time to prop up my feet and eat bon bons all day! She had blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair that eventually turned redder and now is back to strawberry blonde. It has waves and some curls and she wants to straighten it all the time. I try to tell her I use to pay money to get my hair curly!! She is somewhere between a tom boy and a girly girl - she likes to wear dresses on occasion and only likes to mess with her hair sometimes...usually when I don't have time to mess with it! But she loves to get in the creek at the park, play baseball and give direction to her brothers!

Happy Birthday Kassidy, I love you!

MOM

HOME RUN

WAY TO GO JUSTIN!!

Justin hit his first home run on Wednesday night!! There were 2 other kids on base and as soon as he hit it, I knew it was gone!! Straight over the short stops head, cleared the fence and I went chasing after it :-))

I'm a proud mom. The best part.... we lost 8-7 but looking at our dugout you would never have known it. The kids were jumping around, excited and it looked like they had just won the World Series... That's what its all about!!

Baseball

Baseball season is upon us!!
Opening day was last Saturday and they managed to squeeze in the parade, opening day ceremonies, pictures and all the games. Jacob is playing on the majors field and they lost their game 0-1 although they played the team from last year that was undefeated. Jacob was at bat twice and he struck out both times. They first time he stood and watched the balls and the second time he did manage to foul 2 balls off before the third strike. He played his second game last night, which was called in the 5th inning because it was getting too dark. They lost 8-10. Jacob did make contact with the ball, sending it into right field! Yeah!! Jacob has played third base and pitched.

Justin is playing on the minors field. He also has played 2 games, Saturday and Monday. They won 9-4 on Saturday and 12-1 on Monday. Justin got a great double hit on Saturday and then struck out twice. Monday he had a walk, a single and a strikeout. Justin has played catcher and pitcher.

Good Luck Boys! I love to watch them play ball!!

its been awhile

OK- I am going to try this again!! Everyday life has gotten in the way!!

Kids...gotta love them

Wouldn't life be boring without children? Every day is such an adventure - I thank God each and every day that school will be starting again soon ;-))
It seems as though my children must be entertained from the time their eyes pop open until the close again at night. Starting with Justin, then Caleb, Kassidy and Jacob. Some days I don't want to be the activity coordinator - is that so bad? But then I hear my mother's voice telling me that before I know it, in just a blink of an eye, my kids will be grown and gone. So I guess instead of playing on this computer....its outside for a whiffle ball tournament!

Welcome!

Hello and Welcome to "For this I put on makeup?" I am a SAHM to 4 kids....3 boys, 1 girl (BBGB) ages 12, 9, 7, 4

David and I (Kristina) have been married for 14 years and have been together for 18 years....unbelievable to me. We have a boxer named Kane and a new kitten named Nittany.

Jacob is the oldest born in March - he's blond haired, blue eyes, has glasses. He's got an easy-going personality! He is very eager to please. Jacob will be entering 6th grade in the fall. He likes to play baseball but his passion is football. He is eagerly waiting football season starting.

Justin is one of my middle children! He has an August birthday - he's blonde haired, blue eyed. He has a darker complexion then any of my other children, one day in the sun and he is tan and carries it throughout the summer. Justin must be busy at all times. He doesn't like to play board games as its too slow for him. He plays baseball and football as well.

Kassidy is the only girl and the other middle child. She has a May birthday - she has red (strawberry blonde) hair and blue/green eyes. She is very determined and likes things to go her way. She loves to read and has played t-ball for the last several years.

Caleb- the baby of the family, he also has an August birthday - born the first day of kindergarten for Justin. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and he's looks are a clone of Jacob. However, his personality is more like Kassidy.

thats us in a nutshell..thinks for checking in!
